About
Hi, I'm Lee, and I started the Walking Art Group to help myself—and others—reconnect with creativity, enjoy nature, and share new experiences. Although I work in a creative profession, making art for myself slowly slipped into the background as life became busier. I realised I wasn't the only one.
This group is a gentle excuse to get outside, meet like-minded people, and make creativity part of life again. Once a month, we explore beautiful places without pressure or expectation. Whether you sketch, paint, write, take photographs, or simply enjoy the walk, everyone is welcome. We're proudly neuroinclusive and believe there's no right or wrong way to take part.
My hope is that this grows into a supportive creative community and, one day, an annual exhibition where members can choose to showcase work inspired by a year of walks and adventures. More than anything, I hope it helps people build confidence, friendships, and a lasting creative habit.
What You Can Expect
🌿 A relaxed pace: No pressure to keep up, create artwork, or socialise if you don't want to.💚 A welcoming community: Different ways of thinking, communicating, and creating are respected and celebrated.🎨 Creativity without judgement: There are no right or wrong outcomes; the experience matters more than the finished artwork.🌼 Respect for people and place: We look after one another and the natural environments we explore.
We may take photographs during our walks to help document and promote the Walking Art Group. We won't publish identifiable photographs of members without their permission. However, photographs of artwork, the surrounding landscape, and the creative process may be used on this website, in a member newsletter, and on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
